now that is pure marketing genius there atomic. maybe you should apply for a marketing job at tesoro. with thinking like that, certainly would be better than what they have now. LOL! maybe you could even update the facebook page as well. ahaha

In the past I've just asked my dealer to test what he's got, and send me the hottest one. Some dealers will and some just say they will. Most "use it when I'm on vacation" detectorists don't really care or know if one is hotter than another. Guys that detect regularly generally want the deepest they can get, and they're the ones reading these forums.

Sorry, maybe 15-years ago the machines showed great differences, but not today. Hot and Cold machines are urban myth in today's marketplace. Precise ground balancing and no loss of power or recovery time while discriminating is what's important, and Tesoro has that in spades. Arizona tough, Arizona proud!

Minelab does not address these kinds of threads either.

Maybe not. I have a Minelab 705 detector, which is very hard for me to learn. I am going to purchase a Tesoro in April or May, but have not make up my mind which model to purchase for deep single coins and very deep for bury treasures in Connecticut.

# 323, I would be grateful for your opinion on what Tesoro detector would be best for buried treasures that is not that deep enough that a 2 box detector is needed in Connecticut.

If one machine is hotter than another coming from the factory, They should improve their quality control to make them all hot.
Other manufacturers seem to get consistency.

Back in March Of this year I was waiting for the Cazador to come out. Because I needed a machine for the upcoming season. Glad I didn't wait and bought me a new MXT All Pro. I'd still be waiting.

But I was sure the Cazador would be released the week after I bought something else. Lol
