LMAO! Ring.....Ring....Head jackass speaking..... No He's not here right now -I believe he's in the doghouse cleaning up[ after Spot. Okay- I'll give him the message---turkey flew the coop and the boat sunk. What? OK- the 1/2 is using the MD for a dustmop. Yes---I'll be sure to tell him.

#1? A wife that can count is not always a good thing.? ?#2? Being allowed to take your bed with you is a good thing.? #3? A wife that wants her hubby to go out and get some fresh night air, to retain and maintain his health, is a good, not so good thing. #4 My wife says i got dibbs on stall three, fresh hay. Good thing!

Give her this, it is from the 50's on how to be a good wife.

Yes it was, Leon. Nowdays H.S. Home-Economics teaches how to find sales at Wal-mart and the most ways to use a microwave. :D LOL

I lost my first wife after 9 faithful years, including 4 years during Viet Nam working 12 hour days in the states, 7 days a week. Then after the war I worked 2 jobs and went to school and got a degree. I can't remember where I lost her. I lost my second wife after 15 faithfull years including 7 years of 70 hour weeks, building a golf course and being the second in command, then 8 years of 65 hours a week at a printing company and her not working. She was paying double payments on her brand new SUV with my money and complaining when I went metal detecting. I still have the metal detectors. I've not married my third woman and she likes metal detecting but has no patience. Time is short, we have priorities. Theres the door!

Sorry guys, just HAD to reply to this one! Just where in there does it speak to the majority of women who also hold down jobs at 40 or more hours a week; is a wife and a mother, and still has to keep up with the housework, laundry, paying bills, help with homework and school projects, not to mention running the kids to doctor, dentist, eye appointments, getting their hair cut, buying their clothes, grocery shopping, maintaining the car, cooking dinner, making lunches------------well, I could go on and on! After all this, you don't seriously think that nothing would be said if you stay out all night, go out to dinner, or just want to sit by the fire and unwind??????? I know most of your comments were made in jest, and I took it in that spirit, but maybe once in a while a comment in appreciation of all that IS done by your wife/girlfriend, would go a lot farther to getting you the time to MD. This is just my humble opinion. I'm very fortunate in that my husband enjoys MDing as much as I do, and it is one of the few things in which we share a common interest. I really cherish the time we spend doing it together. Anyway, this is my two cents for what it's worth.

Vicki, we're not trying to get into wife/girlfriend bashing-that's against the law. LOL We're just venting a little. I've been married going on 20 yr. and she knows I enjoy MDing-she does too. I know that there are women that can kick butt in the field or at home and deserve a lot of praise for their efforts. Some try their hardest to please and some fall a little short of expectations. Take my wife's gravy for instance-gave some to the cat and she tried to cover it. :D They only do that for 2 reasons, one of which is to save it for later and we know what the other is for. ;D The cat was hungry and sniffed it first. You decide. If we offended you, we apologize and will try not to pull your chain too hard. LOL Enjoy and HH.

? ? ? ? I lost my wife 2yrs ago. She passed away suddenly at age 41. In my own clumsy way, i'm just trying to keep going.? ? ?Sorry? Vicki

Well just trying to lighten things up again here.
I observed there was no reference to sex for the returning hubby in "A Good Wife's Guide" Well I guess if the housewife followed #3 rule and would "Be a little gay" that would take care of that issue.

Just having fun here or Why I am still single?

Vic 910 other side of story after heart problems and plane crash injuries, i retired . my wife works full time . we are not young any more , she does not need to be working at her age . Then she tells me to take it easy and enjoy myself . We have only been together 20 yrs this fall . I would not have her change a thing...life is good !!!!!!!!!!

Note to all gentlemen. The best way to get your wife to understand about your need to go Metal detecting is; The next time you find a nice diamond ring give it to her and say, this is for you dear, Thanks for understanding. If this doesn't,t work sell it and get another detector!

Hey ya'll, I was just jerking your chains back. No offense meant or taken. You know, it's the old "I am woman, Hear me ROAR", or frying eggs while taking dictation and answering phones, or something like that. ;D Marriages are probably lasting longer because you guys are not home long enough to cause any trouble!!!! lol

rvbvetter - Very sorry to hear about your wife, I truely didn't mean to be upsetting. I know it takes a while to get over things like that; I lost a child when he was 12 yrs. old and for a couple of years I didn't think I'd ever stop thinking of him every day.

DigginD - Good luck on the hunt! Maybe someone can "dig" one up for ya! lol

Everyone else - I'm sorry if I got heavy-handed. Really, I was just joking and I must have gotten carried away. It's hard to know someone's intent through typing when you don't really know someone and/or can't see facial expressions. Can we still be friends????

vicki

No problems here, Vicki. I'd be honored to share a hunt site with you anytime. I just sometimes engage keyboard before brain. Guess it's because the keyboard is bigger. ;D

Well, I for one have a lot of respect for any man that can come home, put his feet up, and relax in front of a 'roaring wife' ::)
I worked with a guy who's wife was always complaining about her 'bagless upright'
Turns out, she didn't own a vacuum cleaner at all ;D

WOW VIKKI IF YOU DO ALLTHAT THEN WE SHOULD GET MARRIED---LOL J/K HOWEVER I AM ALWAYS LOOKING FOR THE NEXT EX MRS. (LAST NAME HERE)----actually i have been mom and dad to my son for the past 5-6 years until just recently when his mother decided that she wanted to be a mom again--so i do have repect for women raising thier kids---I do only have one note to that though----how come us men who raise the kids alone dont bellyache about it all the time---LOL just kiddin again

Vic910,

Sorry to hear of your loss,....that goes for you too rvbvetter.

I solute the both of you! I'm not sure I could go on if I lost a child or spouse. I truly solute you both for your courage and strength. My heart goes out to you both.

One can only speak of their own experiences. I cook, I clean, I fix our vehicles, I repair the house, I am building another jointly owned house, we both work, I even do dishes. I don't complain, she does. But thats just my life. I deal with it. But my patience grows thin as I age.

Hang in there nutso. I'm in the exact same boat as you are. I do much of the house work. My wife is great though! I love her to death! It's hard doing so much, but, she is doing the same thing as I. By the way,.....we both complain, both her and I :)
