Why the visit?

In 1816 Jackson gave a sword to Captain Thomas Beale, if Jackson knew Morriss that would be the link to Captain Thomas Beale of New Orleans . The two talked about a lot after the War . Captain Beale and Jackson had property in Mississippi not but a stones throw of each other . If Jackson knew Robert Morriss as we see in the Papers, We have our link .

I think we're all still waiting on proof of the existence of a Captain Thomas J. Beale. Perhaps you should focus on finding this first.

You will be waiting a long time, I have confirmed that and moved on Bro .

:laughing7:....no, you've confirmed anything of the sort. All you've confirmed is the existence of a Thomas Beale/Beal/Beall/Besill that can't possibly exist. Not the first signature or documented reference to a "Captain Thomas J. Beale." So you are correct, we will all be waiting a very long time.

He moved on to the Thomas Beal's that were in New Orleans and other places. The newspaper article that was in 1820 turned out not to be for Captain Beale Sr, but he saw it as a good reason to disappear.

Make a good way to disappear with no Questions. If he was working with the Government it would make sense.
