WHO WANTS TO DIVE FOR TREASURE

I hadn't considered the aging process. But, I have to tell you Jason, I'm feeling pretty good for being 102!

Scott,
piratebay.org is using that image as their logo. I don't know if it is copyrighted or not, but it appears to be trouble. PM me if you want to discuss this.

yea, its too close.

Actually buying "packaged" graphics is very common and can be used by anyone who purchases the service. That's why you'll find the same graphics on multiple websites. It may be that piratebay and Seahunter (or SH's designer) have the rights to the same graphic website or design package. Copyright doesn't apply to logos, but to writings or music. Trademark applies to logos. No trademark issues apply if the above scenario is the case.

Best,
Darren

Do copyrights apply to pictures?

Yes, a photograph can be copyrighted via many avenues. We knew that the galleon image came from a free graphics website. The logo is being re-drawn as a vector graphic to be put on hats, shirts, window stickers, etc. It will likely be changed considerably, and may even end up as a profile of the SeaHunter itself.

Speaking of SeaHunter, here's a little something we dug up Saturday....

Jason,

Glad you guys are bringing them up! Can't wait to get down there.

How many Garrett Sea Hunter's do you guys have on the boat? I have one probe for you guys and was going to maybe make a few more.

Is it a crime to steal from pirates?

Scott,
Those coins are looking good...if I have some free time, could I come out for a day or two with you guys and help? Missing TH a little.

Nice logo too...
working on my new one also...
New business, offering Yacht Buying support in Peru. Can you believe that in the coastal city of Lima, 8 million people, and there is not one boat dealer? I plan to change that.

Here is the best logo I have come up with so far.

If anyone has Dreamweaver experience, I could use some help with my web site, some glitches and some design issues.

Darren, I've been in the graphics and advertising business for over forty years and I was simply putting out a warning so Seahunter could cover his butt. Any images are subject to trademarking or copyrights. Recently a local high school was forced to change their team logo after using it for years because it too closely resembled the Dodge Ram logo. Way to go Chrysler! No future sales to that alumni!

Robert, we have 2 Garrett Seahunter's on the boat, 2 probes would be great if you can get them done, if not we'll gladly settle for one. Looking forward to seeing you again, it's been too long. I still want to do a little black water sharktooth diving with you too.

That's one hell of a hole!

My offer still stands for any time you need an extra body! Keep up the hard work and the pictures. I love seeing stuff like that!

I dont know how they do it but those coins seems to get pushed up under the ledges! I think Brad and I found 3 way up under a rock, but the hole was so small I had to take off my scuba gear to get my head and shoulders far enough in to pick up the coins!

Jason, I will work on getting them done before I head down. Look forward to seeing you guys.

Robert

Here are a few pictures of the Seahunter crew taken from shore.

Dustin and I made it out today with some friends. Found lots of sinkers. And one piece of eight, a jeweled cross and the smallest pocketwatch I have ever seen. Will try to post pictures tomorrow.
