No. There are carvings of greenmen, etc..
5. What are botanists and (more importantly) experts in medieval art saying about those carvings? Why do they think what they think?
From what I have read, most claim that they are simply stylized plant forms, not representations of any actual plant species. I have also read goldenrod or a variety of lily as possible model.
