Who Elects Moderators!?

Well i tried to be a Mod on another treasure forum ... It did not work out for me ..... To be a mod is a pain .... Takes up a lot of time ... I don' see how they do it...... More power to the one's that can do it.....For i sure can't ..

I agree with ya TN, a lot of tough guys out there behind the key board that would never say such things face to face. Which is actually a good thing, I'm glad our Mods keep it atleast partialy civil. Here's a toast to you guys :occasion14:

I think the MODS do a fine job. You couldn't pay me enough to do it. I don't know how in the heck they can possibly keep track of all of the posts on Tnet.:dontknow:
I'll stick with my job as a Victoria Secret dressing room attendant. "Less stress and less dress" is my moto. :tongue3:

BTW- Here is a photo of our MODS. That River Rat is one groovy chick!

Moderators- kudos and the "Force" be with you! T-net is a fun and knowledgable place, may it stay that way!

Ok, I get it! Leave the Mods alone. I was just asking a simple question. I didn't mean to offend.
Back to business. Peace

Being a privately owned website I suspect Mods respond/act per "owner" direction/desires/guidelines. Though I don't always agree with them I think they do a great job, especially considering the amount of traffic that passes through this joint. :icon_thumright:

glad to see that the disturbance has subsided

Thanks Jeff. I will be a good boy. Maybe... ;)! Seriously, I only submitted a questionable thread and received threats as expected. I'm now your Huckleberry. Peace to all, I'm sorry.:(

threats? I saw no threats. To me your thread intimated some sort of misconduct. I only tried to explain that it's not a democracy. The owner makes the rules.

You couldn't get me to be a moderator. Think of all the time sitting at the computer monitoring all that is posted, never having time to go out and metal detect, prospect, or even have fun like normal people get to go do! :tongue3: I know it must be really tough on deciding which posts to lock and which ones to give warnings on! Yep, you couldn't get me to be a Forum Police!

So with this said, let's all remember ALL the moderators this holiday season and keep posting pictures of your finds making them EWWWW and AHHHH's at all the cool stuff they never get to find because they are stuck in the computer world of technology!:laughing7:

It may be true, I have heard that Jeff has a 5 gallon bucket under his chair cause he doesn't like to take time for bathroom breaks

Folks,

Just my 2 cents for what it's worth I do admin on another forum and trust me it's not the easiest job trying the keep the peace and play King Solomon.

It has it's paybacks but some days I ask why.....lol...

Regards + HH

Bill

Then we obviously have a dictatorship? When you say my thread "intimated", did you actually mean; to make known in an indirect manner? I did not. Peace

Can I be the mods strong arm enforcer, pretty please?I'd make a good one,I have the same attitude as Trigger Burke.:evil6:

I think the mods do a great job on this site, all except for one thing. On the miscellaneous forum in those threads, it seems like they can be a bit bias on some subjects. Or they shut threads off that isnt with popular opinion. Or a little disagreement gets a little heated and they close it off. We are all adults on here and a little heated discussion shouldn't be anything anyone cant handle. I've gotten hot under the collar before along with many. But like i said other then that particular threads everything else runs very smooth and they keep out of things.

Not true Harley. We all swap it around and hunt as much as we want. Trouble is when we do get on we do not always have time to post our finds. All the members help us Moderate by following the rules of the site. Never thought of it as forum police but I guess any site this size will always have a few who wish to bend the rules and have to be moderated. Human nature. I am hunting tomorrow and Sunday and have some dug iron in electrolysis I am watching. Also worked 48 hours this week on my job so go figure. Kicking back watching epic fail on "Gold Rush" sending this. Lol..
Good luck in all your hunts.
