Hello,

I asked today at my bank if they had any half dollar rolls, and they said no. I was wondering if it is possible to get half dollar rolls, or the old large 1 dollar coin rolls anymore. And if so, where from. Do all banks have them, or only the older banks in small towns?

Thanks in advance,
Anthony

That's strange :icon_scratch: If you have an account there they should give you the rolls. You could try again or ask for loose halves too. I would also speak to the mgr if they get salty with you. Good luck keep us posted.

I bank with Navy Federal, and this is a new location, recently built. I assumed they would have Halves, but they said no. Ill try again next time I am at the teller. Thanks for the info.

hmm, thats an idea. ill keep it in mind, although, i dont have that kind of money avaliable atm. Hope to before long tho! :)

If you order boxes of them the rolls they come in are rip and tear rolls and not reusable, so you would have 1,000 halves and no wrappers to put them in... you could just dump them at a coin counting machine though.

Try going to a different bank. You don't even need an account... just go in and ask for them. MOST banks will have them handy, others may go digging in a draw, but 90 percent of the time you can get them.

The big $1 dollar rolls on the other hand are a different story. I'm only seen them in a couple banks, and was sure to ask for them when I did see them out.

None anywhere near here, but, there is at least one near my dads house in Tennessee.

i must have checked about 16 banks in the last few weeks and only a few had halves on hand.....and very few at that...did find about 18 ikes at one bank though...all clad.....
