Whats your least-favorite thing to find?

Melted aluminum is the worst for me. Pull tabs let me know I'm on the right track for finding gold.

The pull tabs, I collect all of them and donate them to a charity. I don't know for sure, but I think there worth 5 cents each for some charities?

I've always hated pennies ever since childhood but last years beach finds top that.........

Yep, stainless steel including tungsten carbide that gives the EXACT same signal as gold.

If this was at least 10k.....$1200 scrap value.

I did find gold last year but the growing trend is this kind of steel jewelry.

Luckily, relic hunting still brings me the most pleasure.

Cheers,
Dave.

I hate the aluminum screw top wine caps...think Thunderbird wine. Also, the little aluminum rings that (are supposed to) stay on the bottle when the cap is removed.

1} finding someone else already searching a spot when I get there
2} Buried coffee cans that contain......someone's pet hamster laid to rest 5 years prior
3} A minefield of holes dug that someone did not cover up
4} Hornets nest while digging
5} Farm junk { aka tractor parts}

A dirty diaper full of poo that was buried on the beach with something metal to get my attention. WAS NOT HAPPY about stuffing my scoop into that filthy mess. Mean people suck.

Fishing weights - they always sound so good. In they water they fall through my scoop and you chase them all over.

Bobby pins - I pull out at least a dozen a day when water hunting because they are a danger to feet when they start to rust. What's bad about picking the up is they tend to poke through my finds pouch, and stick me if I'm not careful.

dirt fishing it is pull tabs of course.

shotgun shells!!!At least tells me no one else has hunted it

What if there was an expensive ring someone lost while changing that diaper?

Then it may still be there. I think it was a ball of foil buried along with the diaper. Garbage was only about 50' away, wouldn't want to strain ourselves throwing something like that away when there's all that sand to bury it in.

Cremation tags...

I've had a run of them lately.

Well I have only hunted beaches a few times in my life. Is it a normal this to find them

I think a few on here already answered all mine and some more! BUT I will say the worse is a pop can 10+ inches in the ground.. oh dear does it sound so much like a plate. :blob1:

A pair of dirty bikini panties, next to beer bottles.
Sanitary products.
Fishing hooks
Nails, screws, needles, tadpulls
Rusty nails in wet sand that sound like gold
Not finding any gold yet, and it's been a year now! :laughing7: Red
