Whats on the menu tonight?

Broiled fresh salmon served warm over a fresh green salad from our own garden. Lettuce, tomatoes, cukes, and some store-bought Vidalia shreds. I whipped up a nice infused olive oil with fresh garlic and basil also from our garden. To cut that mixture we had some muscat champagne vinegar.

Sounds fancy, but just good simple food.

Tonight's was home grown and caught from the Lake....from the Lake came fresh perch fillets, coated with corn meal, and fried in oil and butter, followed with fresh cukes and vinegar, and wild rice with home foraged mushrooms...homemade key lime pie and iced tea......Gary

1/2 lb deer burger again

Asked wife to make her homemade lasagna. She made a huge pan of it. So had that last night and reheated for breakfast this morning. I was afraid Red would smell it and I'd have to shoot him.

Dried chanterelles from around our hunting camp, and some oyster mushroom from a dead oak stump here at the lake.....Gary

Grilled rib eyes with mushrooms sauté in butter, boiled potatoes, garlic toast, and a garden salad...oh yeah, a couple of Michelob lime beers while Im grilling.

Just returned from next door where tonights menu was steak and shrimp kabobs, baked potato, and sweet corn.....I, myself followed it with some fine Mount Gay "Black Label" rum on the rocks......Two days from our annual fish fry here on the Lake...with give details later.....Gary

Gary that sounds really good(especially the rum, lol!) I have been pulling weeds in the heat this afternoon and I'm gonna to be really lazy and boil some Silver Queen corn, make some panko crusted chicken, and maybe have some lima beans.

I looked up Lake Champlain. About 81 fish species live in the Lake. WOW! and the history too. Must be a nice place to live :icon_thumright:

A left over johnsonville brat, bottom of a bag of chips and coffee. Maybe should have kept the one small perch the kid caught earlier,l.o.l..

It's considered by many to be the 6th Great Lake, and I will attest to that.....you are all welcome anytime.....Gary

Apple bourbon pork, slow cooked in the crock pot. It has been cooking nice and slooooooooooooww for a few hours now. First attemt at this but it smells good!
A salad out of mother in laws garden (that my wife and daughter do all the weedin' and waterin' in)
And home made blueberry tarts from last night. A pain to make, because my kid eats gluten free, and gluten free dough is like trying to gargle peanut butter..or stack greasy BB's with boxing gloves :laughing7::laughing7:

Fried chicken, green beans and REAL mashed potatoes....

Red stole the rest of the left over's from last night... Damn you Red. I'm guarding this fried chicken buddy.
