Look around on the front porch area in the concrete maybe the family put their handprints and the date they did that, it might coincide with when it was built. Just take a broom and shovel to clean it all off. You might find something like that.

Great idea, Back. Sounds like you have experience writing in concrete.

As suggested already the design, size and shape of the bricks will give you a pretty good idea of the date range. Based on the style of the bricks and the design of the front steps, I'm thinking c1890 - 1920.

I also noticed the trees in the area are all small and thin, which indicates relatively new growth to me. I'm thinking the structure likely burned on the 1950's or 60s.

Best of luck to you,
Dave

Thank you for reply. So I should go pick up a few bricks and look at the bottom?

Why not just look up the location on your local county GIS site? and cross reference with older maps... - My guess is that foundation is somewhere between 1910-1940's and that should still be available. If you want to PM me the address I could probably find it.

I sent you a direct convo thanks.

I agree with the early 1900's. Stucco over brick and an iron sewer pipe (I believe that is what I am seeing in the third image) is relatively recent. The trees inside the foundation don't look over 40 years old.

There is a market for old used brick, I would try and get permission to finish taking it down to the ground and salvage all that brick, It all looks in real good condition. Between $300.00 to $700.00 for a pallet of bricks, a pallet has 500 to 510 bricks.

Great advice BOTB, the demand of older bricks is huge and so is their resale value.

I checked all the bricks none of them have any names on them some even have the 3 holes in them. So what other way would I have to convince anyone they are old
