Iā€™m sure thereā€™s more to come on this story. It was originally reported that raw diced, peeled, and whole peeled yellow onions from Taylor Farms had been recalled for suspected E.Coli contamination and that Taylor had supplied onions to McDonaldā€™s locations impacted by the current outbreak.

However, McDonaldā€™s is now apparently saying that Taylorā€™s distributor (US Foods) is not a supplier to their restaurants and the onion recall is therefore not related to the outbreak. Onions are still regarded as the likely source of contamination though, given itā€™s unlikely that there would be simultaneous undercooking/hygiene failures related to the beef patties at multiple outlets.

I hope they mean ā€˜Angusā€™ burger. Or maybe not.

I admit I like quarterpounders... a couple years ago they (get this) started to cook the patties hot off the grill (the only ones they do the with, as opposed to pre-cooked I guess) and started selling them BOGO, which is not a bad deal at all. I also discovered the "daily double" (BOGO as well), double meat, tomato, lettuce and mayo. I like those too.
