What is this thing?

No "Iron *****" jokes please. I've already heard that one from a JEALOUS friend. I think it might be an old gate hinge or perhaps a wagon pin, but unsure. Found in south Ontario. Thanks

It's a hitch receiver pin. I've lost a ton of them myself over the years. They are used on all kinds of other things too. Tractors,equipment,bigger mower decks, etc.......And your right, It could have even been used on a removable gate, or for a hay wagon even.

From the wear mark it looks like a hitch pin. You can see where the receiver/hitch pulled the metal.
