Boat stone. Those are pretty rare but have been found in the Midwest.

But they all kinda look like boats or canoes... but that does not
Reminds me of a shoe repair thing but WAY to small ...
 

Could be a BoatStone or a Gorget from the book I just looked in.
Some Gorget names were
Oval Humped
Spineback
Ridged or Humped Gorget. All looked like your example along with the Boatstone

Thank you for the info , have found many artifacts over the years , but nothing like this , also a photo of an arrowhead and shark tooth which looks as though it was attached to an arrow, some pottery from the same area also

Yes, that tooth looks like it was modified for halting. Keep the pics coming. We all enjoy them.
 

Never seen anything quite like it but gut says some kind of atlatl weight. Shark tooth is awesome, natureā€™s arrowhead.
