It takes time, patience, and persistence to be successful metal detecting. In this video, ScrapIron shows what that type of determination leads to. This find is years in the making.

ScrapIron found a Spanish coin in the middle of Missouri. It likely dates back to the late 1700s to the early 1800's although getting a date off this old, worn coin will be difficult.

In this video ScrapIron and Jack are out on a private permission in Missouri. A site that has been metal detected for years. ScrapIron gets lucky and nails a Spanish half real thinking it was a worry dime as one side was extremely worn down. After closer inspection Jack realizes it is an old Spanish coin.
