Found about 20 of them ????? Seem to made of brass

You didn't tell us (or show) the object's size. So there's no way for us to know whether it is 1-inch or 3-inches wide. http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/what/136849-please-read-before-posting-items-what.html

It resembles a pants-waist strap adjuster buckle (which is typically about 1-inch by 3/4-inch) though they probably were also used on other pieces of clothing. See photo below. They date from the 1850s through the 20th-Century. Thus, there's no way to date them unless the buckle has a date-mark or manufacturer's name on it.
