very nice RM! Next time you build another Snowhead take your detector out and scan those grassy spots, you might get lucky!

Thanks Goio! It was my first attempt at such a thing, and the last good snow that I had for two years that allowed you to make something like that. As for detecting the grassy spots, right back up by the top right of that image I was doing some trashy target testing on the surface of the ground, and I couldn't see a clad quarter at more than 3" above the ground! The soil there must be full of surface nails or something. It was really frustrating until I did an air test and switched locations.

That's the coolest thing I ever saw... so simple, but will spray snow like a cat in heat!

I'm sure there are plans to make one cheaper somewhere. $350 ain't bad, but then again for $350 you could spend a nice couple days skiing.
