Weird thing, brass or gold? Help pls

Did a quick park hunt today and this is what I found. Does anyone have any idea what this is??? It was buried deep, around 8" I live in BC Canada.

It has 1 small spot with green, does gold ever do this?

Also, it looks like its been bent from its original "Wishbone" shape.

I really hope it's gold lol.

Looks like a bezel from a pocket watch.

Yep, you're definitely right, looks just like this one:

Its probably been down there for over 70 years, do you think the gold plating would have worn off?

Also is there a way to extract plating from an object? lol

Gold doesn't tarnish. Most likely brass/copper. Being a plumber, I see copper turn green. Have a jeweler check it out.
