Weird embossed plate

Found a metal plate a few years ago. It was around 20ft from my backdoor and about 3in deep(under the grass roots). It was green and crummy looking with nailholes one the edge. Its got a rust stripe on one edge too.
So I promptly lose this plate and it resurfaced today on my porch in a box with other items I dug up that day. So I take this thing inside and squirt lemon juice on it and use a sponge to clean off the green and dirt...I think I see something...

The daguerreotype, however, did not produce a raised image......correct? or no?

just a possibility: This picture of the 1902 Charlotte Hornets show a C on their baseball uniform. Don't think yours was the same year, hairstyles different, but it would be early. By 1950s they had a hornet's nest for a logo.

This house was deeded 1903. The cabin in back is older by a couple decades at least and I cant find its age. Ill check that board(I have before its great). Newspaper printing plate?

Its pretty thick, not thin like the metal photograph I have.
