Greetings. Havent posted in a while but finally made a few finds worth posting. Went out after work tonight to a site with vmiairpwr and started out finding a pretty sweet arrowhead surface find. I think its a Hardin or a Lost Lake, circa 4,000-7,000 BC! Later I found what I thought was a roached copper cuff button. I thought I saw an eagle on it but dismissed it as my eyes playing tricks on me. When I got it home and soaked it I was able to see the eagle with a shield under its wing and a script i on the shield. Circa War of 1812 infantry according to Albert's book. The design is slightly different from the full size coat buttons but the insignia is the same. Also posting a pic of a 1950 quarter I found last week. Aside from the quarter and tonights findings its been a pretty slow month for me. Enjoy the pics!

Fantastic button find there!! That's is a real centerpiece find!

Ya know, the more I look at it, it appears to be an anchor rather than a script i. Appears to be an early Navy button from roughly the same time period. They're all so similar, its tough to find a match.
