At the second stop on my weekly coin run, I asked for bags off the coin machine. They didn't have any. But as I was standing at the teller's window I noticed 4 nickels that had a nice war nickel look to them. I purchased all 4 from the teller. Upon seeing that they all were truly War nickels, I asked if they came from a customer or a roll. When she said they came from a roll, I asked if she had any more rolls from that box. She looked and said yep $72 worth.

Needless to say I purchased the rest of the box. When I got home, here's what I saw staring at me on the end of the rolls:

So with the 4 loose ones and 6 on the ends of the rolls...I am wondering how many more will I find inside? I'll have to find out later tonight.

Since my record is 4 in a box, I already know this box will set my personal record (as it has already produced 10), but how high will it go.. 11? 25? 50? 100? 200?

Not including what I assume was the two rolls that the teller had in her tray, now I can only wonder what was in the other 12 rolls.

sorry didn't know they were machine rolled ---big differace there---still who knows might have sent a few silver coins---along with the nickles ---ask what their ordered as far as coins go if you can---maybe some silver cleared and came with the nickles---too much to hope for I know ---but hey its worth a try---Ivan

I went back and looked at the ends of the rolls on all the other nickels as I suspect somewhere there was another box like that. I also suspect since this is not a particularly busy bank (just opened a few months ago) that the teller had that box for quite awhile so whatever came in has already left. Oh well. Still glad to get what I did. ;D
