The stamp appears to me to say Guaranteed Fast Colors Type 1

I'd opt for: "Guaranteed Fast Colors STYLE 1" ??

Could be a casket flag

A standard interment (burial) flag is 5' x 9 1/2'

5/12ft by 10ft long

Are you sure of those numbers? They are odd for a flag size.
Sure it isn't 6' x 10' or 5' x 9.5'?

Might be 6 by 10 I did stretch it to much I will do it again later but I'm almost positive on the 10

That is a full size flag designed to be flown, not a burial flag. I have a 48 star that same size on one wall of my cave/office. I relate to the 48 better,, simpler times. Tony

I search this words and I found a full text of an American Legion catalog of cotton, wool and silk flags of different types and sizes. I didnt read it all but you may find your size listed. They use the words "guaranteed to be fast color" One from 1939 and another from 1944. The last one from 1926.
