Now, I've been approached by an editor from the Wall Street Journal looking for information from US Coin Roll Hunters,
the purpose of me making the thread, was to get everyone's opinion on this. Have you been approached by this guy? Have you given him information? Should I give him information? Should I be honest ?

What is the WSJ's sudden interest in Treasure hunting about?
I suspect there is a staffer there who got hooked on it and decided
to "blab" about it as a way to have something to write about.
Do a search on WSJ - Metal Detecting and you will see there are numerous articles.
Sucks for us all. I'm ready to give it up because even in the summer, I can't find anything now.
It's already too publicised!!
Since silver and gold went up, people have gone crazy!!
My finds have gone way down.
My theories on this are a few.
No more drinking on our beaches (So. Cal)
Money is tight
People sold off any bling they had because they could make $ on it and nobody wears good stuff anymore
It's not cool to be flashy anymore
This generation buys crap for jewelry (tungsten, titanium, etc.)
People have seen all the geeks at the beach with their detectors and have realized how stupid they are for bringing their jewelry to the beach, so they leave it at home.
