Waddell Creek? ?

So it sounds like a party for Monday. That will give me time to get my gear together Sunday. About what time? Middle Waddell parking area?

I am hoping to find a empty camp in Middle Waddell camp ground on the B or C loop to park a little closer to the stream I will be up there about 7ish at the ORV bridge dredging.

That's where I was thinking of going if I do...... park in the mid. wad. lot and head down hill.....stay to the left and listen for orvs and step aside. I have to admit...I love the sound of rocks sliding down my highbanker......kaching :laughing7:

Then again....the chance of having fresh smoked, fresh fish is a real distraction.......what to do.....what to do :BangHead:

I love the sound of my 6 hp Honda now that I am making more then gas and beer money. Mike you should have stuck around for 20 more minutes on Sunday to see my clean out $$$

I forgot that it's labor day weekend.......I don't think I'll be doing anything Monday....not no way, not no how :BangHead:

Possibly tues or weds might work out though ???

Working on dueling dredges this saturday the 6th. If it works out I will pit my old keene crash box suction nozzel against a new jet log / flair same hole same run time if anyone is interested in " what to run " here in western washington come check ot out. PM me for directions and time.

Ok I just confirmed old vs. new on Waddell Saturday about 9 am who wants to check it out? Bring your equipment I will point you to a good spot or bring a chair and a cooler full of beer and hang out with your feet in the water. Any one want some nozzle time on my dredge? Mike, Luke come run one before you buy one? PM me for directions.

Kai,
Just wanted to say thanks again for the invite in the first placeand all the tips on running my dredge. This is a great forum in general but the members are over the top. The girls and I had a blast and the place, weather and company were fantastic. I haven't cleaned up yet, since I was ready for a little shut eye by the time we got home. However based on what I saw classifying my dredge cons I am really impressed with the gold too.
Luke it was nice to meet you as well and your little one is a trooper. I am sure the memories you are building will last a lifetime. I have been wanting to see one of the bazookas run in the field and that is definitely on my wish list.

As far as the best dredge, I think there are things I like about both but Kai's certainly moved more material than my 2" jet log. To be fair to the dredge though you would have to have someone of equal skill run both, lol that was not the case yesterday.
What a great trip,
John

pictures.....I need pictures :notworthy:

I'm going to be chasing salmon on my days off this week. I need to get my smoked fish fix for now.

Mike your our photographer lol we are dredgers. I didnt even think to take a picture.

John / Luke

It was a lot of fun a little bit hotter on steam today. I havent cleaned up any gold yet but look forward to the next outting.

That was a great outing and can't wait to see what you guys got. It's a bummer I'm going to have to wait another year to dredge but I guess it's something to look forward to.

Kai,

I am very interested to see what you clean up so I know if I was losing fine gold. The picture shows some pretty fine gold but there is some small enough that it doesn't show up, so I know I got some of the fine stuff just not the percentage of what I picked up.

I wish I could have been there but had to work :BangHead:

You can pm me all the pics and I'll try to put together a video of the trip. I need 12+ pics for a short one. Next year maybe I'll have a home made dredge to fight it out for bragging rights :laughing7: In the mean time I'm working on building a small 12volt tromell for my highbanker this winter to increase recovery :hello:

For the next month or 2 I'll be chasing salmon for the smoker to get me thru till next years run.....the gold isn't going anywhere till the floods come and then there will be a whole new crop to dig :headbang:

Mike,

It would have been great to meet up, I had a great time and my wife and daughter want me to get a sluice (I'm thinking a bazooka) so they have a job while the dredge is running. They ran some -20 cons in Kai's Angus MacKirk and they were sold on the sluice idea.
I will see what pictures I can get from the girls, what picture size works best? I can resize to whatever you want but they are huge 5megs or more from my daughters Camera.
I would like to try to get back down again sometime before to long but I think my next trip is to Oleny Creek.

All the Best
John

1 meg or less works best.
I have an A.M. sluice as well, I think it's the foreman model. I use mine as a light packing unit and if someone goes with me to keep them going when I use my high banker. I really like that it doesn't take much water to run them and you can easily run stuff classified up to 1/2"+ depending on flow and angle.
