First time posting, lurking for over a year. Love the garage sale finds section. Just started going to estate sales and found this for $10. Its 10 grams of sterling and is marked TIFFANY STER on the inside. Does it hold any other value outside of melt? Tried to place a year on it but come up with nothing. Thanks!

Way, way, way over melt. Not nearly an authority, but if it is real as I think from a quick look at the pic, am sure it would sell for over a hundred on the bay. And that is conservative. Diggummup can probably give you more and better info than I can. Nice find.

1st - Noticed this is your very first post - so, welcome aboard from the great state of Pennsylvania (USA).

2nd - You didn't mention your state (or country) - but you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forums: Select Your Area.... and selecting your state for information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country).

3rd - Nice buy pugwrangler. Thanks for sharing...

Thanks for the comments! From Wisconsin. This is the second purchase from an estate sale. First was a pre-64 (1952) winchester model 94 for $175 a couple of weeks back.

Your bracelet will sell for way over melt. I have a regular buyer who buys that sort of thing from me for about 60% of retail. Just make one phone call and it's sold.

Welcome pugwrangler. First thing you need to do is make sure it is an actual Tiffany & Co. bracelet. They have been reproduced and faked for years, in all forms. Just because it says Tiffany and it's in a blue bag doesn't make it one... not yet. What does it look like? All I see is a plain bangle bracelet, any more to it?

Welcome pugwrangler from the Sportsman's Paradise of Louisiana!! You did well!! CONGRATS!! GOOD HUNTING!! VERDE!!

Diggumup, It says TIFFANY STER on the inside. Just a basic round bangle bracelet. Can't find any info on the hallmark at all. The only thing that makes me think its old/fake is the lettering on the pouch. The FA are so close together like it was made a long time ago. Also the hallmark is very worn. Can barley make it out with the naked eye. Will try to take pics with my dslr tomorrow.

Hey guys just back from vacation. Took some more pics and additional info would be great. Picked up another bracelet at the flea market on vacation. Will post that in a new thread. Thanks!

I'm sorry, pugwrangler,

With the plain wire bangle and that sloppy solder joint, to say nothing of that "mark," I don't believe your bangle ever saw the inside of a Tiffany workroom.

I don't believe Tiffany has ever produced a plain wire bangle. They are known for their workmanship. Have a look at the Tiffany marks and catalog, and see if you can see anything remotely similar. Tiffany & Co. | Tiffany Silver Jewelry | United States

Wish I had better news...

I gotta agree with Surf. It's a knock off. I've never seen a piece of Tiffany marked like that and it is a sloppy solder job. Plus the fact that is is just a plain jane bangle. Tiffany prides itself on quality cratfsmanship and that wouldn't pass. Might still be sterling though.
