Well if my 2nd known Roman coin in the world are anything to go by, you might be in for a rough ride.:laughing7: With mine being the only known provenance example! Still, it looks good!:icon_thumleft:

PS. Sorry my cynicism.

sscindercoop, that is an incredible find. Wonderful thing to find a coin so rare that you need help finding out what it is. I would say it is safe to say that very few of us will ever have that issue. Though it may be a copper it is most certainly banner worthy in my opinion and will get my vote. Congrats my friend.:icon_thumleft:

Very nice condition and rare to boot! Congrats on a great find.

Thanks friend, Best of luck to ya on your next hunt!!!!!!

My mistake, it is a great find, just my desperation showing.

That is an incredible find! Congrats on finding such a rare piece of history. My buddy that owns a coin shop was showing me a Machin's Mills minted copper that he owns today and gave me a quick lesson on some of the rare coppers out there. Very cool to see this one posted today. I dream of finding a rare specimen some day and am happy to see this one. Great, great job on finding that beauty. All the best, Abe

AWSOME! Nice find, keep digging there for sure. Banner vote from me too.

Congratulations!! That is the type of thing most will never find......way to go:icon_thumleft:

That is a super find. To bad all I seem to find is California copper

Took a quick look and nothing jumped out to argue the variety, but think you got your wires crossed a little on the rarity.

If u click on the link in my listing coinfacts shows an R6 rarity, Stacks list's it as an R5 and Mackaydon's link says R4
