Appears to be ww2 issue or later , could be 30 bucks -75 bucks depending on the demand for it , and that is my guess now it could be more but based on the shape hard to tell

It is a WW2 issue MKII fighting knife. I think $50-$100 would be a good price for that knife. My strating price would be $50 if I were to list it on ebay. I would use some saddle soap on the handle and the scabbard. I see the snap of the scabbard is broke but it does look like an original one to the piece. The blade actually looks pretty good from what I can see too. I think it would clean up well. Speaking of ww2 knives, I picked up a WW2 USMC Bolo a couple weeks ago myself.

Not to take anything away from the O.P.'s USN Fighting Knife but didn't the Ka-Bar's come in the metal sheaths while other Maker produced Fighting Knives came in leather sheaths? I believe it is correct USN MKII Fighting Knife but it might be in a different sheath than the original. What say you??

Leather scabbards were produced by several companies. His appears to be a Boyt variation. Here ya go- USN Mark 2 (and USMC 1219c2) Sheaths - EDGED WEAPONS - U.S. Militaria Forum

Thanks for enlightening me on them and thanks for the link! The only Ka-Bars that I have owned were in the metal sheaths and other Maker made Fighting Knives were in leather sheaths. Of course, I just know enough about most of them to get me in trouble but I have made some great premiums on the ones I picked up at Pawn Shops, Estate Sales and Estate Auctions.

K Bars are great knives. Still have one from my USMC days in the early 70's.

Here is the one my Grandfather gave me ( been strapped to the side of my pack since I was around 13 or 14 ) no markings on the blade only on the guard , " CAMILLUS , NY , USN MARK 2.
