I tried using the default "forgot your password" option.. no email from that.. bleh

OK, second post about this. I got the e-Mail. Clicked on the link which took me to the registration page. My old user name and password do not work. In fact, I am now up to 3 of the 5 tries allowed. It will not allow me to register using my old user name. And, I tried to as for a new password and that did not work either. I am lost.

Please help

ok....there should be a spot to request your password to be reset.....you will receive an email with a new temporary password that will allow you to get on and reset your password

I typed in the odd letters and numbers shown in the box. Then I clicked on the reset password. It took me to a completely blank page ... a deadend.

I've already made a post in another White's thread on this site about the trouble Jake's gonna have on his hands. Please be patient with him, as it's going to take him a while to tweak the settings after you folks start wandering in. He's chosen to go with the latest version of vBulletin, which by my standards is really nothing more than beta software. It can be tweaked to work just fine, but it's going to take some time.

My suggestion to you is that if you can't get the password mail link to work, which will be about 50% of the time, either email Jake and ask for it to be reset, or join as a new member and PM an adminstrator asking that they reset your password to your old account. If you don't get your email, which will be about 50% of the time, sign up as a new user and do the same. It would be helpful if you would tell them what you want the password to be so they won't have to email you back to tell you what it is... but be sure to go into your user control panel and change your password to something that only you will know once you finally get in.

Did you change your email at some point after you registered on the old White's forum?
If so, that may be the problem. Jake can help you with that, but you might give him a
little time. The wolves are probably driving him nuts right now!!!

I finally got an indication that my password had been reset and an e-Mail had been sent to me with the new password. Am still waiting for that e-Mail to arrive.

Hey, de nada! When that email with your password arrives, simply copy it and paste it into the password slot. Type in your user name that you had on the White's forum, and you'll get in.
Then you'll want to go to your profile settings and change your password to whatever you wish.

Hope that helps a bit more even.

Howdy Folks!
As the new White's forum is now up and running, and most folks are comfortable over there,
we should think about closing some of these threads we have going here on T-Net.

While I have locked up a couple of them already, this one will remain open in case anybody
is having troubles. I will check in, along with a couple of other folks, to help anybody having
trouble if we can.

Meanwhile, it may be appropriate to have a new thread for anybody having trouble getting
to the new site.

It makes sense to leave this thread open for a few more days for folks having issues getting
back to the White's forum. Look for a new thread specifically for those who need a bit of
help getting migrated back to the new White's forum.

I'd help you out but am already late for work and we have a big order that
I just must get out this morning on time. But......

I posted a message on the new forum that you need an assist over here and
am pretty confident that somebody will be along to give you a hand. Hopefully,
it will be somebody like Jake who can just square you away without any further
fuss, but I dunno.

Anyhow, hang tight. I will check on your progress when I get home and if you
are still stuck, I'll take the next step to helping you resolve the issue.

Green1 is stuck in here. Scroll back just a couple of message back, maybe 3 or 4,
and you'll see his post stating he cant get through.

I am late for work, so I gotta haul the ham! Otherwise, I'd lend a hand but just
ain't got the time right this minute.
