I plan to do some more treasure seminars but this time it will be at a resort in Cocoa Beach.

I am in the planning stage. I am working with a book distributor now and we would like to
recommend a good book on beachside metal detecting. Coin shooting as the experts call it.
Can anybody recommend a book for beginners that discusses equipment and methods?
A little history of local wrecks with maps would be good too.

Also I need to get caught up on recent finds. Has anything worthwhile been found North
of Sebastian recently?

Anybody read any of these books? Recommend one over another? Or is there something else that should
be considered?

Ray, the book you mentioned, Beach Detecting in Sand and Surf by Jay Schofield is a good one. I also recommend the following books, which are more applicable to the conditions here in Florida:

Detecting South-East Florida
Barthel & Robinson

The Beach Hunter's Guide
Barthel

The Beach Bank, Your Treasure Teller
Kevin Reilly

How to Search Sand and Surf
Charles Garrett
