UAW strike

for example, (admittedly not union), in Florida the minimum tipped wage at a place like "Applebee's" is $3.02 an hour.... in Washington at the SAME restaurant it is $15.74 an hour. Same, menu, same company, same job requirements... but the owners plead poverty in those states and act like they will have to shutter their business if the wage goes up. Except that they won't and don't.

....because...."dollars are round because they roll"....

They're looking for people who will work for the lowest wage they can pay them. There's no such thing as labor shortage. Its a clever way for companies to make it sound like its beyond their control, when in reality they could increase wages and have more labor than they know what to do with.
I work contract construction and have worked many union/nonunion sites. When union employees are throwing trash on the ground and telling you not to pick it up because you’re taking someone’s job there’s an extreme problem!
My personal experiences are that unions have been so emboldened in this country by their lazy, entitled members that are so ready to file a grievance on somebody trying to get the job done, is that they have way outlived their relevance and have become nothing more than politically and monetarily motivated entities protecting the loyal dues paying sheep.
