Took a drive out to the coast with my hunting partner Reid and found this old abandoned building that looked like it was built in the late 1800's. Both of us started out finding the usual clads on the front of the building. I worked my way to the south side and received a perfect 4 inch hit. Out pops a 1898-P Barber Dime! It turned out to be the only old coin in the area?
Our second place to hunt was an old empty lot surrounded be Victorian houses. After about one hour of hunting Reid digs out a 1900-S Barber Dime! (He took it home so I don't have pics.)
Our third empty lot near by offered up a silver ring and a US Army collar pin. It is dome shaped so I think it dates to WW1!
Both of only had two wheat pennies, so the 2 Barber Dimes made our day!
