A few of our vanda orchids are blooming.

Last time she visited our daughter, my wife brought home two small orchid plants. Seems these are for indoor growing only, as it says never to put them in direct sunlight. They've never bloomed, and the wife is asking me to work some kind of magic on them so she gets flowers...told her that just because I used to grow great weed doesn't mean I know diddly about orchids.

Buy bloombuster fertilizer at local Walmart, it's cheap.

Ours bloom a lot but we do use the fertilizer, it hooks to hose our vandas are out side air plants water twice a day.

Put it in a spray bottle for inside plants. They like indirect light. Spray them with water twice a day, bloom fertilizer once every month or so.

Do you foliar feed the nutrients, or do you add it when you water?

Getting those plants to bloom will earn me a bunch of gold stars....which I then
transfer into fried chicken dinners...

I use Miracle-gro Bloom Buster, I use 1 teaspoon per gallon about double what it says on box, then pour in 1 qt spray bottle. Give them good soaking using spray. If you have large mouth gallon bottle put banana peals in water too.

Beautiful orchids. We have several types that bloom but our Vandas while healthy looking never bloom. I'll try to mist them more.
Get some bloombuster, and spray them or water them with it, it will force them to bloom.
