Headed back to last years farm that had two known homesteads. I couldn't believe I found a third homestead on it, it's the oldest. Three 1730's Georges with 8 blowhole buttons, and the solid white metal buttons about 9 in total confirmed its age. A small broken silver buckle with lots of smalls. Found in the field were three similar hand worked buttons, the artist was making eyes. It seems that I found different stages of his handiwork. I guess the TV wasn't working that day. I was introduced to the landowners at the back of the property and was given permission to hunt another 90 acres. The corn had been cut and the ground disked, the walking was easy. Two capped 1/2 dimes, 4 watch winders, and smalls. One of the winders depicts a running deer on one side, and a musket with satchel, and powder bag, with a bagged dear at the base of a tree. I like finding the picture winders. A coin button depicting the exact back of the capped bust half dimes was also found. My first coin button. While hunting, the farmer who leases the property showed up taking ground samples while I was swinging away. After a lengthy conversation I was given permission to hunt his 180 acres. Many acres to still hunt...
