In my opinion anyone who refuses to wear a mask at this point, and it can be proven their actions led to the death of another, should be charged with Negligent Homicide/ Involuntary Manslaughter.

They are basically convicting themselves with their very public proclamations of refusal.

So anyone who smokes and who is near someone at any time who later dies of cancer from 2nd hand smoke should be charged with murder? Over 50 thousand people die of 2nd hand smoke so someone should be charged for each of their murders.

I have informed my audiologist, Wal-Mart and a convenience store that I have a medical disability and cannot wear a mask. They say no problem and wave me in. If you sheeple still want to wear a mask, that's fine with me.

I have no problem with you staying out of walmart and convenience stores due to your medical disability preventing you from following the safety standards. That's fine with me. :icon_thumleft:

Just have your purchases delivered like any one else who can not obey the ordinances for whatever reason.
Businesses who wave folks in without compliance are the ones who will be held liable. A few lawsuits later and that will stop I assure you.

They say second hand smoke is worse than first hand smoke, but if that's true then doctors would be prescribing cigarettes to kids who's parents smoke.

Since 1976, the year of the first reported Second Hand Smoke lawsuit, this type of litigation has increased both in number and in scope with increasing success. While it is common for initial cases to lose in a new area where the law eventually evolves, litigants and their lawyers who later bring similar cases can learn from those previous, unsuccessful cases. It is now apparent that the judicial branch has begun to recognize the need to protect the public—especially some of the most vulnerable members of our society—from the serious threat to their health that is exposure to SHS.

Conclusions: Successful cases brought on behalf of individuals exposed to SHS produce an additional benefit for the public health by both paving the way for other non-smoking litigants to succeed in their cases and persuading business owners and others voluntarily to make their facilities 100% smoke-free.

It's not about about not wearing a mask. It's about being forced to wear a mask. Maybe next they can democratically force you to wear a babushka.

Yes, those fools who are intentionally coughing and singing loud on people and those guys in Mississippi...OMG.

It should be done like the AIDS laws...If a person knowingly has it and infects others...Involuntary or Attempted Manslaughter.

I didn't realize til all of this came about how dangerous a Dollar Store can be! If ya wanna get kidnapped, go to Target and if ya wanna get in a fight or shot over a mask, go to a Dollar Store!

Update on KC Metro: Most counties have passed the mandatory mask requirement as has KC Proper. But, Cass to the South hasn't and Clay to the North hasn't. They said there would be a Huge Crowd at Smithvilke Lake...Very Few as of now. Who knows about later.

LOZ, Pomme and Truman are poised to top Memorial Day it sounds like. Missouri Has NO Statewide Mask Mandate, Counties have had to vote individually. It should of just been done statewide for the foreseeable future until it's somewhat under control especially after the Memorial Day Debacle . He didn't get his invite to the fireworks shows so maybe now he will. KC is very close to the KS State Line, There IS a State Wide Mask Mandate there. Does a lot of good to have one state doing it and one not when their big metropolitan areas are right next to each other and a lot of JOCOKS folks have places at the lakes.

There's some mad people for sure everywhere and I get these bar and restaurant owners being mad on closures and requirements since they were only announced a week ago, several days ago or yesterday in places. They had already ordered the food and liquor for the holiday weekend. The liquor will be fine, the food will go bad unless it's a lot that can be frozen. Paychecks and Tips...That's another story.

Too many cases and increases in positives for bars to be open for sure.

Don't come to KCMO...If the virus doesn't get you, there's a great chance a gunshot will. Two officers and a bus driver shot yesterday. It's wild in there.

Stay Safe Everyone!

Kace

Then there should be at least 50,000 murder trials for 2nd hand cancer deaths. Next what about people who serve obese people food, 300,000 people a year die of obesity.

Every retail establishment that I've seen provides alternatives to going inside the store. If you want to go inside, obey the rules. If you don't want to wear a mask, take advantage of the many options available to you - online ordering, curbside pickup, etc.

There are already shirts and shoes requirements. Do you complain about those rules?

HAs anyone else heard or seen the "mask lighter test" ? ? ?

If not... it goes like this...

Put your mask on... take a lighter and light it in front of the mask... *don't be stupid light several inches away from face- in case you did not already figure this out*...

if lighter is able to be blown out... its worthless against virus.

You have the Freedom to buy and drink alcohol, but you don't have the Right to drive drunk and endanger the lives of others. You have the Freedom to buy cigarettes and smoke your lungs black in your own home, car, etc.....but you don't have the Right to endanger the Public with your second hand smoke. (Thank you GG, that was a very interesting and welcomed post).

You have the FREEDOM to NOT wear a mask in your home, car, etc.....but you DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT to endanger the lives of the PUBLIC by going maskless.

FREEDOM IS THE RIGHT TO POLICE YOURSELF.

If you endanger the Public by driving drunk you will be Policed.

If you endanger the Public by smoking in a Prohibited Space you will be Policed.

If you endanger the Public by refusing to wear a Mandated Mask you will be Policed.

If you don't Police Yourself, YOU WILL BE POLICED.

Should the Public at large stop driving because there could be a drunk driver on the road? Should non-smokers stay locked in their homes so they don't get subjected to cigarette smoke? Should we mask wearers stay out of every public place so You can go maskless?

Hell No.

Freedom doesn't belong to just YOU, wearing the mask is not just about YOU....it's about the PUBLIC and the FREEDOM OF THE PUBLIC AT LARGE.

By not wearing a mandated mask you are taking away OUR FREEDOM.

What part do you not understand?
