well me and another friend of mine went to well known river for gold and set up the keene a52 with the jobe header box on it 2.5hp water pump that runs 52 gal a minute maxed, and experimented for a few trying to get the right water speed and angle of sluice, got a quick vid of it in action maybe someone can give me some pointers? we did find a few flakes, crazy thing was there was a family with pans 50' above us that found a picker right on top

Hi Vaquero44,
Your setup looks pretty good. It did look to me like you had a pretty steep drop on the sluice. You want no more than 4" drop on a keene a52 unless water flow is weak. With your setup I would run it a little flatter since you can control the water flow. I run my highbanker with about a 2" drop to 2 1/2"drop. It allows more time for the gold to drop out.

Good Luck!

Hey there B H pros, thank you very much for the tip when we first started we did have it a little flatter but had a hard time with gravel building up on the riffles then had higher rate of water too but the water was flyin off the riffles too so but anyway we'll try what you had told me so thank you very much again, maybe next year will try some gold hog matting
