When was that photo taken? Has that area been flooded with beach goers since the announcement?

July 2015.Just your local beach people like you see everyday down there. Most there have no clue why boats are out there. Some think they are clam diggers.

Cool, thanks. May go up there early next week if that storm rolls on through and look around the beach.

Need a 10-15 foot beach cut to find anything.Wont get it from this storm coming. That beach is detected every morning before the sun comes up by locals.

Depending on angle of storm... WAYYYY toooo early to tell this.

Better hope it doesn't ride the coast... heh...
Would gather intensity all the way up...
Destruction to the coast would be substantial.

By sat night we should be "in the know" close.

We need a repeat of the 2004 storms where one sits stalled offshore for a week.

Those mean old locals as well as people who come here on vacation to detect the beaches are indeed the earliest of early birds, but I did see a picture of a pretty nice 4 or 8 escudo coin that was 'found washed up on the beach' last Saturday afternoon. As always, being in the right place at the right time means a lot.

How much is a coin like that worth?
How much is anything worth?
Whatever the market will bear - according to EBay, the market might well bear a price of $3000 - $9000. Not a bad payoff.

The press is saying that the "royals" are worth $500,000 each. Not a bad payday indeed.

It's funny that the King or Queen of Spain (i.e. Royals) would likely not have fetched anywhere near that price if they had been kidnapped and ransomed!:icon_scratch::dontknow::laughing7:
