Hey Peg Leg, Stan, and everyone...

I was hoping to attend and meet you all, but it just didn't work out time wise... :'( I was really looking forward to this but I guess it will have to wait maybe next year if you have it again. Don, hopefully you will still send me my T-shirt?...that would lessen my anxiety level for not having been able to attend... ;)

Hope to see some great photos and eventually meet some of you. I still have the 18th and 19th week reserved for my vacation time at work, maybe I could still come down and dive with some of you.

Best wishes to all. Toss one back for me... ;D

Bucketofguts:

I found the silver rings, but I aint posting nothing till I find diamonds and gold.
Today I found a couple of dollar coins, earring and a bookmarker of all things, and of course the other clad. Oh ya I also found an old pot pipe yesterday. :o

Had a great time today!

Talked to divers and salvors and pirates that I hadn't seen since the latter part of the last century. Learned a couple of things and overheard who is finding coins and where. Now just have to charge the aquapulse and line up the DEAD PINETREE with the condo and its right out THERE! Thanks Peg Leg.

Dell, pegleg and dale found some gold near the HI beach!

A pic of Dell useing his dowsing rods near the beach.

The pic is of pegleg with the empty bottle of Goldschlager. The bottle still has some gold flakes in it.

pegleg,

who won the raffles?

You put on a great expo.i finally got to put some faces with the names from here.i hope you plan to have a expo for next year and years comming.just start planning and advertiseing for it now.

Peg Leg, I had a great time. It was nice to see that some of the old time salvors and pirates were still around and still doing their thing. Most of the newer guys don't even remember the beach markers, knock down drag outs with property owners and the midnight beach raids. Much less trying to get accurate readings with your sextant from a heaving deck in high swells.

All of that and much more are things of the past. The really great thing about treasure hunting though is that new technology creates new adventures so each generation has it's own special memories. The lure of treasure is strong and those that accept the inherent risks live a life most can only dream about.

Expo's like yours are a good time for the old and new to come together and have some fun. After all, that's the real secret of life....Enjoy the Journey...

Some more pics from the Treasure Expo day 2, I have to say that Peg did an outstanding job putting this event together, and with some help from his friends, he has been able to lay a good foundation for the second annual Treasure Expo.
For me personally, while I have met many of these good folks in the past, it was indeed a pleasure to see them again. Additionally, it was a pleasure to meet many of you for the first time, and to have the opportunity to put the faces to the TreasureNet names.

I agree, great pictures. I wish I could have been there. I had to be somewhere on Saturday the 28th. Hopefully I will be able to attend next year.

Muchas Gracias PegLeg! Great opportunity to get aquainted with the leaders in the field. And have some fun! Is it gonna happen next year?

It would be cool if we could start a new thread, and add names to the pics... I would probably add it to our banner.

Thanks!

Thanks!

I have most of the names that go with those in the pictures I shot, I will try to modify them later when I have some time.

Rustys Mate and I enjoyed meeting everyone at this expo. It was quite an learning experience for both of us. Diver Lynn, I think you take the cake for the best exipit. Wreck Diver...it was a pleasure meeting you. Dell, Sea Hunter, and Deep Blue Marine.... Thank you for all you educated us on. Kelly Co and Garett, we are having a hard time deciding with whom we are buying our next metal detector. Peg Leg and Cyntheea, we are so looking forward to the next event.
Rusty and Linda

great time peg,
wish i could have gotten there before close on Saturday and met some more of the TNETers, but i enjoyed the evening and sunday immensely.
great to have seen some of the gang new and old, for those around for the grog slinging Saturday evening, it was all lies, nothing is buried where i said it was............... :) ;) :)

Thanks PegLeg, the event was great...slight correction though, while i was the guy who picked the silver coin up, it was from Laura's (Crab) ticket. I would call your event a huge success for a first year venture, and I bet it'll be even better next year.

Joe, it was great seeing you again, and we already dug up the treasure location you spilled in your grog induced moment of sharing. You were right...there was nothing there. :D Scott and Scotty Lee (the Seahunter crew) put on a nice display also, and as stated before, Lynn had some great stuff from Amelia Research. Kellyco had a nice display as well, and West Bay trading (the best coin shop in Vero) had some really nice coins and books available. Deep Blue had a cool booth, and i'm sure I'm leaving many out.

Thanks again don for all your work.

Jason
