Treasure Expo 2007

Don: is it possible to post a complete itinerary here for the EXPO? Start time, schedule, location of exhibits, speaker times, end time etc..

Thanks

Don: I just got back from Lost Treasure magazine headquarters in Grove Oklahoma. John Housley V.P.of marketing donated 300 magazines along with special gold doubloon tokens for additional prizes. Thanks for the campground info Rusty's Mate. Norman

Yes I have 2 cases of magazines in the car and the doubloons along with paperwork are in a envelope. Norman

I'd just like to say...

Since I am not going to be able to make it, and I'm gonna be stuck up here in RI... YOU GUYS BETTER TAKE PICTURES

Don:
I wonder if the Holiday Inn would be nice enough to let you use one from their maintenance people. Most of the hotels have them. Just a thought.

Peg Leg,
You are doing a great job. This was a big project. There is so much more praise that should be given to you for pulling this all together so well. There is always something that doesn't go right. Just like when planning a wedding party. But, if you look at the big picture......

GREAT JOB!!!!

Don:
I went ahead and took tomorrow off. (Friday) Would you like me to bring a hand dolly? I was thinking of being there around 11:00. If you need me there earlier let me know.
Dale

what are the dates and times for this expo?

ANY THOUGHT ON A LIVE WEB CAM DURING THE EXPO?

PEGLEG:
HAVE YOU TALKED WITH ANYONE FROM MEL FISHER TREASURES?

Well, I just got back from Office Depot with a $600 hole in my pocket. I am helping Peg Leg Don behind the scenes with a few things and couldn't see paying the $300 fee for AV equipment from the HI. Now we have a multimedia projector for future needs. Hopefully those tightwads will at least loan a screen. Otherwise, we will project on the wall. I have made simple registration forms, but still need to finish name tag blanks and also finish the description on artifacts I am bringing. Please help us advertise by sending this event info out and, if you are coming, bring as many artifacts as possible for everyone to see. I look forward to meeting everyone. Regards, Stan Dilcher (screen name: divewrecks)

Don:
See you in tomorrow with my dolly. (Hand truck, the wife will be working) ;D The time is here, cant wait. You did a great job.

For those wanting to help by sending out the "official" press release here it is:

July 28th and 29th will mark the inauguration of an exciting new event on Florida's fabled Treasure Coast. The first annual Treasure Exposition to be hosted at the Holiday Inn Oceanfront Resort in Cocoa Beach and will feature a variety of displays and seminars. Historical documentation hints at a known shipwreck in the area and a noted psychic has a confirmed belief that in the area lie cannons, precious stones, and gold and silver bullion and specie. Displays will feature a sampling of both land and sea artifacts & treasure and displays by retailers of treasure locating equipment. Seminars will be highlighted by a presentation by marine archaeologist Robert Westrick, noted 1715 fleet shipwreck historian. The event is open to the public ($5 adults, 10 and under free) and runs Saturday from 9:00 – 7:00 and Sunday From 9:00 – 4:00. The Holiday Inn Oceanfront Resort is located at 1300 North Atlantic Avenue in Cocoa Beach

Please post wherever you see fit. If someone can post this to the Mel Fisher site I would appreciate it. My password there is expired.

I look forward to meeting everyone.

Stan

Holiday Inn has an 8-foot screen, and there is no charge to use it.

I just got back from the Holiday Inn, the site of the treasure expo.
Everyone is getting setup for the show tomorrow.
I finally got to meet some people from this forum. What a bunch of really nice people.
I could listen to Peg leg (Don) all day. I got there about 11:00 this morning after I did a little hunting on the beach, and met Don and his wife for coffee at the Captains Grill.
We chatted a bit and I went back to the beach to hunt some more. The lighting started hitting and I was quitting.
Went back to HI and helped where I could. Can't wait till tomorrow to see how the room looks complete. I will get more photos.

These photos were taken early this morning.
I was standing close to the middle of the room when I took that photo.
