Travel Channel documentary about Swift

They're defiantly expensive. But its amazing how many you see flying around now. I seen 3 huge ones hovering over the Breaks Canyon a few days ago. Seems like a big gamble paying that much for a machine then flying it that far away.
Create a NON-Profit TEAM (Together, Each Achieve More!); EVERYONE shares on paying for a good Drone... use it well; HH! Good Luck! Have FUN in 2019!

Anything of value is expensive, but consider this, he who owns the drone, owns the data.

The high end ones have a 'home' feature that they fly back to the take off point if they loose signal or 'point of no return' battery level is reached. Also can hit that button if you loose sight of them in fog and such.

Ok, so what would be considered in a treasure hunters toolbox? Let’s stay away from brands, and stick to types of instruments and methods of research..

You would need a basic chemistry kit, acid and bases for testing... Binoculars for seeing long range, a camera for documenting your evidence, a map and gps and compass (all three, very important). A MT if its legal in the area to use one....a small chisel for samples and ziploc bags.

and a lot of education or someone to show and tell in future i will do this for all i have been studying for about 65 yrs i do not have a formal education but have learned a lot it has helped me in the swift mines had i not done this i would have passed the mines i found off as an unknown when all understands why you will all understand . i do not mean to talk in riddles soon i hope to give all of the answers so you will understand i do not know it all but i can help all of you in your quest . i still lack one signature on the property.

Hey all, if anyone has anymore info or updates on the documentary let me know. I have a friend that has been in the swift buzz since the 70's. He's been in several documentaries and interviews about the legend. Hes heard about the Travel Channel thing and Ive been trying to gather a little info for him. Thanks in advance

With the right documentation, pics, video , etc, I would think there should be some production Co. out there willing to pay for movie rights to a legend that would change history. Maybe not they just tell us what they want us to believe anyway.

Any movie production's first priority is $. If it won't make them money, or they think it won't make them money they will have no interest. Documentaries probably have the same motivation, they are just selling to a different kind and size of audience.

i have been contacted they want to document things as i open the mines they used you want to be on tv no pay just the glory big deal my response no pay plus roalties no show i t would mean a lot to the charities i give to . im not that happy putting my face out there .

Expedition Unknown will eventually do one and will create a lot of interest. I have been contacted by the third producer so maybe the third time is the charm. looked into renting pontoon boat again.

I would not give them diddly squat until they fork over some cash. We do not research and work for nothing.

I would not to do all the work and have it filmed for the rest of the country to get ideas and be crawling all over these hills. That’s libel to happen anyway...

That is what happened in the 1970s with a couple of treasure magazine stories. Folks that lived near or on Lower Devil's Creek had trespassers galore and the Red River Gorge had a slew of people seeking fame and fortune all over the place. It wouldn't take much to stir the interest up again...only thing helping is that there is so much media out there now, not many would see it like they would have 30 years ago.

I have always thought there must be something in these old hill worth something other than just their beauty and coal. As I study the geology more, the more I'm sure I was right in my thinking. Maybe not enough to start a multi-million dollar company over, but enough it could make a difference in a peoples life.

I like your thinking.. Can't help but think there has been a bunch of Ag pushed into hollow fills while the black gold was being dug.

I’ve always said the marker rocks were probably pushed over the hill years ago..

My dad worked on the conveyor belts that brought the rock and coal out of the mines. One day he told me a rock came through and it was five men petrified or made of stone came by on the belt. He was unable to stop it and it went on to be crushed or deposited whole into the rock pile near the tipple. Sure wish I could see that stone. Oh well it was something he told me in my younger days. He said it happened and I believe him.
