Well, Jeff is still skunking me with his big silver dollar, but a round of local tot lots put me back in the running--for clad at least. A couple of the quarters shown below in the totals are from yesterday. So this is the results of two days of hunting.

Cooler today about 74 but very muggy and spitting rain all day. Oh, what am I thinking...this is Ohio..that's normal!

20-Quarters
9- Dimes
1-Nickels
6-Cents

3- chunks of aluminum - all showed as Q's, VDI +85...so I dug...hate that
1-Top of an aluminum fence post 6" tall--at 4" down, showed as a dollar. I was trying to out do Jeff.

1-Good samaritain- helped little girl search for a key she lost-no luck.

Lost my pin pointer, again, I realized it when I got my equipt out of the van. Then I had to drive back to the first school tot lot I hit. I am putting velcro on that thing! It just jumps out of my pouch as I walk. It must be the detector swing and shovel swagger of MDers.

I finally found it out in way out in the middle of the field where I had been. It took 10 minutes of walking like a crazy guy to find it. I can just hear the mother's talking, "Don't go by that crazy guy with just one kneepad on. He is running around out in the field looking everywhere. Oh, Lord protect our children. He has a glazed look in his eye."

And I found $5 by my van. Then I decided I had obviously dropped it from my pants pocket when I had gotten my keys out to leave, before. Yes, I found my own money. Does that count, Tweeter? At least I am not $5 to the negative.

Knees! Forget the Velcro.. just carry the thing in your hand. Detector in one hand, pin pointer in the other hand. <grin> Oh.. and put your paper money in a clip or in your wallet <laughing>

Glad you found it!.. the money AND the pin pointer.

Happy Hunting!
