Today's find

Searching the back fence row of the pasture (owned it for 65+ years, north east Texas.) found this. Located about 7" under the surface, weak signal but dug anyway. It appears to be bronze, no maker's maarks or stamps of any kind. The knob end is internally threaded. Any ideas? 7" long, but the tip appears to be broken off, so it may have been slightly longer.
