that's still with a $50.00 Discount

that is for cable and internet.

Then there is Things I never Use Like $%^&&** SPorts Package :BangHead:
I have to pay $5.00 for people who actually Watch that Crap.
Just so they get a Break. :(

Local Sports should be set up like HBO

& then there is 911 Fees ? on cable & internet ?

If I'm not Mistaken My internet is Half Price because of the Package
& if I drop he Cable TV my Internet will Cost me upwards of $100.00
with all the fees they add on.[/QUOTE]

Jeff, what for internet service providers do you have available to you? I have Verizon home phone and internet, which I use the internet to watch TV on my Roku. I pay $64 per month. I pay an additional $8 a month separately for Hulu, an internet TV channel. We do not watch sports, so this works out well for us. We only have time a couple evenings a week to watch TV anyhow, normally.

I remember the good old days of having a huge satellite dish that moved around with controls inside the house. I paid nothing for programming either.

Last I saw they had a Plan where you could actually Choose the channels you want & pay
a Few Cents to a Few Dollars for each separate one.
Of course I'm sure there was some type of Catch where you had to pay a Particular fee for the right to
do that & with Taxes etc, it may not have saved anyone money.
But I always wished I had the Bucks to go Satellite dish.

Do they still Exist ? or is that gone the way of 8 tracks :(

Other then Comcast, Only Dish Network & Direct TV that I'm aware of.
Allot around me switched to Dish, However most have several dishes lying around. Not sure what that's about.
my sister also has a Dish & Complains allot about Signal and service

AT&T Keeps offering me a Deal on Dish. in Fact I just got an Offer Today, But it's a one year Price hold. I don't trust them . & what about my Internet.

Even if I get tv for 50, comcast will charge me $100+ for Internet, & then if Dish doubles next year, i'm screwed & have to pay Comcast $150 to hook me back up
Plus Monthly Bills.

To my knowledge the big, moveable satellite dishes that you had to move electronically have gone the way of 8 tracks. I haven't seen any in eons. I still have all the boxes though. No idea why I still have those. :dontknow:

I don't know if you would be interested or not, but here is a link to Verizon's home phone service page where you can plug in your zip code to find out if they offer landline and internet in your area: https://www.verizon.com/home/phone/

and could explain the Risks of Price changes & quality.
Especially for Home Internet I will Never use a Hand phone for Internet with My eyes.
and I do like my internet speed . what ever it is

Well Champ, that's my problem, I can scan the entire guide, and find nothing I want to watch. Up till just a year or so ago, my wife and I were basically raising our two granddaughters, and have had the medium bundle for the cartoons and the Disney stuff. The TWC/Spectrum basic is about 7 channels, plus the shopping channels. Two years ago, the medium package only cost $129. ( Ha, only ).

Seriously Kray, Everything is on the Internet or will be very shortly; some things take longer than others to find, but its there if you're persistent.

I remember watching the Andy Griffith show in black and white on a curved screen TV for free and loved it.

Used to be able to stick up an antenna and get a dozen or so channels with a couple commercials,.NOW pay through the nose and have to suffer through insurance and drug commercials every seven or eight minutes ..pure human GREED....

a class action lawsuit against ALL TV & internet providers mandating "pay as you get" pricing

the law firm of Doowie, Cheatum & Howe could be a savior for consumers :laughing9:

if they can block "premium" signals--- they can block the :censored: that MOST viewers WILL NEVER WATCH----EVER

who will be the 1st member of Congress to write THIS BILL :dontknow:

Internet is free almost everywhere now. I live off grid and even get here 25 miles from Gunnison. I didn't know people still paid for it! Hehe
We gave up tv in 2000. Waste of money waste of time too many commercials. Only Netflix or online streaming these days.

FREE? How do you get free internet? Who provides it?
No, it is certainly not free here. I didn't know it was free anywhere, unless you stopped somewhere that had free wi-fi.

I don't know, it's just in the air. You can travel anywhere in Colorado and get internet for the most part. It's already included in most cell phone plans way cheaper than cable.
When I need a big screen or to do prospecting research I tether my phone to my laptop with bluetooth and there ya go. Less than $100 a month for Verizon with unlimited data.

Well I pay for the phone plan so I guess it's really not free. Part of the cell plan. I didn't realize there was different internet for houses that went through cable. Haven't been there in years.

Well now that straight talk has the Unlimited Unlimited $55 plan that's what I do if I want to watch Netflix/Hulu/Xbox etc. Just use my hotspot. Streams at 12 or so mbps...
And for local tv I just use my own Homemade antenna...she's ugly but I can get around 40 channels with a decibel booster. IMG_20171019_150552[1].jpg

When we moved we cut the cable 3.75 yrs ago, just figured it out $6750 of savings and I haven't been stressed in having to call about billing, reception, packages...nada! Greatest feeling, don't miss it and I read the late night host line-ups for guests in the morning paper, the reason of my read is not to recognize any of the names, it's a good day when I go through the whole list and I have no idea who these people are. :)

HA! That's right! Never had one, but those things were enormous!

Thanks. That's helpful. I will look into that. I've looked at the others, not Verizon.
