Relic Hunting
Hello Everyone,

This is a wrap-up, of the last three farm hunts with the final (wet) hunt ending today. The sites gave up relics, coins, some I don’t knows, iron and of course junk. I did not show much of the junk, but did show a lot of things that are not really keepers. Each of the fields seem to have a “personality” of their own. Some had lots of junk with few keepers, while others had scarce targets, but were good when found. One of the three had been recently been turned over, while the other still had a ground cover of cut hay. Obviously, digging in the turned dirt was my choice, but you cannot always get the best hunting conditions. I’m just thankful the farmers said yes to my digging request.:hello2:

Funny, lately I have been finding a lot of monogram and ornate spoon handles in various farm locations...very cool. Lastly, the plow or my digger gave Miss Liberty (1894 O half) a shave. :BangHead:

Thanks for looking.

GL & HH

Hi Prof; I find it strange that no one has mentioned the US Union Army Box Plate or Buckle there in the First picture on the lef side bottom. It is Civil War Union Army Piece ok. Nicest find there IMO. Check it out. PEACE:RONB

Hello Barker,

Thank you so much for taking the time to identify the relic, I had no idea what it was or its use.

Are u sure that's what that is?
Is does look like a 2 piece type buckle, but seems a bit small???

I don't know everything or can ID every Relic.
But
I would like to know if the relic is indeed a 2 piece buckle? Just seems small for a Belt Buckle..
