Re: Three-Cent Wilver Piece

Kirk it would be cruel and unusual punishment if you were to get bit while detecting......... for the SNAKE! ;D

That is one cool coin and a good story to boot. Your finds and your abilities are a testament to your dedication to the hobby. (Enough BS yet? ;D :D :))

No seriously thoough good story and really cool finds!

Re: Three-Cent Wilver Piece

Nice Find Kirk, but I am sure any brand detector could have found it ;D

Now the coin I found this morning, was amongst a 20th century dumpsite and my detector and my experience sniffed that baby out and it sure was not a Whites! :D

Seriously, the 3 cent pieces are sure hard to find, fairly certain my son has found one in more recent years and I found one perhaps back in the late 80's!

Thanks, bud, for the reply. Our club has found 5 three-cent wilvers in about 14 months. Zoy found one, Silver Zeus found one, and Pac found one. I am leading the group with two.

What did you find? Post it, damn it! LOL

HH to Don!

Re: Three-Cent Wilver Piece

Kirk, that is terrific on the amount of the 3 centers you guys have found, I just don't think the sites we hunt in general have that era of coin, so it reduces our chances of finding them.

I found nothing too special this morning, but I do want to clean it before posting, and I do have a site photo and a couple pics of the recovery, so even though it won't be a big post, at least some pics to look at.

Hint, not 1700's but older than you silver 3 center. :)

Don, you are FRICKIN' hilarious! ;)

Folks, stayed tuned in for some future relic hunts with "Bone Dry Detecting." Why? Because once we are done with our sites, they are usually "bone dry." Thanks, PACO, for the group name.

Re: Three-Cent Wilver Piece

Congrats on the silver III cent! I had to win mine on a contest, LOL. HH, Mike

Re: Three-Cent Wilver Piece

Kirkles,
Hilarious post and another great find Big Guy. Congrats to you & your White's. Not to outdo you, but I've found a few 4 cent pieces with my Mighty Tesoro. ;D Very rare indeed. They were actually four memorial pennies taped together. >:(
By the way, what did Trilly look like? She had to be 80 years old if she thought YOU looked sexy. :o
Just kidding of course. I'm sure your sculpted buttocks has to look better than Ridley's. Ouch! ::)
Great job,
MM
