Re: Three-Cent Wilver Piece

Kirk,
You strike once again, with a well composed and entertaining rendition of your latest treasure hunting endeavor. Congratulations on the 3 cent
wilver coin!

William Shakespeare himself, (if he were alive today), would probably state - " Thou hast verily kickethed most serious butt-ocks on this day" endeth quote. :D

Great post and nice job!

Re: Three-Cent Wilver Piece

Question, KirkPA: Do you ever find it hard to be humble since you're perfect in ever way?

Look more deeply into my sarcastic humor, bud. Just like Sam Weller would state, "I'm your humble servant, Mr. Pickwick."

Re: Three-Cent Wilver Piece

Now that's a coin to be very proud of Kirk!!!
Very nice, bud!!

You make me proud too! ;D

Re: Three-Cent Wilver Piece

Nice work. I know what you mean about circling around the target, listening to its sweet tones so ya get noticed by the diggin buddy ;D Just ask my bud about that one. Sometimes I even say "Dude, check this out!" but if I call him over there before I dig it, it's gotta be a major keeper. Sweet 3 center.

Cheers,

Buckleboy

PACO and I usually like to compare sigs, too, in the field. If I get a jumpy reading, I will call him over to let him scan the target with his MXT. This way, we can learn what our machines are telling us in different situations.

Buckle, now, go out there and find a Confederate buckle!

Bud, I do love my Pro XL. I have become "One" with it and can usually tell if I have a coin under my coil. Do you use your XL a lot? It is one of the most underrated datectas.

I think, in about 5 more years, Zoy, PACO, and I will have our county cleaned out. :D

Re: Three-Cent Wilver Piece

Kirk. Yeah...I use mine a lot. I bought a 6000 pro xl a few months ago and like it so much I looked long and hard for a second newer one. Hey I am not a bouncer anymore...I don't race motocross anymore...and I can't bench 335 anymore. I'm a little more settled down at 44 now but I am still a fitness trainer at the YMCA and spend some time on the Harley. I figure a guy should have as many "datectas" as he dang well pleases. I just sold my 6000 pro xl and found a newer xl pro that was one of the very last ones made. In fact it still has a year left on the warranty.
If I am at a site that I haven't been to before ...I grab the xl pro and cruise. If I am at a pounded out site then I need the slow creeping depth of my SE. If my xl pro says its a coin...then it's a coin. I went to a soccer field just a few days ago and wanted to concentrate only on dimes and quarters. Too many years of lifting and motocross so my knees are bad and no since in bending down for a 2" lincoln cent. Anyway I popped out 31 quarters and 51 dimes in less than 5 hours. I got fooled only one time and dug ONE stinkin' zinc cent because it was deep and corroded so I thought it was an indian cent. I don't care what new machines come out...i will always have my xl pro and my cz 70 pro as it's a killer on deep silver too.

I am glad to hear your loyalty to the XL. It really is an awesome machine.

I used to curl 60 pound dumbells with each arm...holy crap, 335 is insane! hahaha I wasn't too good in bench, but my arms and back used to do some killer exercises. At our best, Zoy and I could pull up 125 pounds on the bend-over-rows...that was with one arm, too. I don't work out anymore because metal detecting has captured my interest. :D
