I've had this for a while. It was an estate find. Just wondering what your thoughts are on it. Old or reproduction? Region of the world it may have came from? Measures just under 7 inches total, tip itself measures 3 3/4 inches down to the bottom of the twisted base.

Some region that has bamboo or heavy cane. That's designed to slip into a shaft rather than into a slit or socket.

Here are some that I brought back from Africa. They look quite similar other than the twist at the area of the barb.

Eskimo or Inuit was the last thing I was thinking about for this tip. It doesn't resemble any I've looked at from that region of the world and is/would be rather small for a harpoon tip. Can you show me an example of what you mean?
My initial thoughts were South American, African or even an island in southeast Asia like Borneo or something. I have found nothing that looks like this particular projectile though, similar but not close enough for a positive id.

This is the closest I could come up with. They claim it to be a "rare old tribal Naga headhunter arrow" but I was unable to find another like it in the fairly short time I searched.

Hope this might help.
