WOW! WHAT A COIN!!! :BangHead: UPDATED PICS BELOW.

It's already shown me how it can find things, separate signals, depth, versatility, etc. etc.
Today it showed me just how small an object it can "see". :)

I finally went out for my official "Beginning of Spring" hunt. (I know, I know...)

Anyway, when the very first plug looks like this:

2016 (156).jpg
2016 (157).jpg
It gets easy to assume that maybe it's gonna be a
good day. ;)

2016 (154).jpg2016 (155).jpg

And....it was. :)

2016 (158).jpg

A bit of a strange day as well. When one pulls
up a plug and sees just one more clad quarter.
They tend to assume.

2016 (160).jpg

I mean, even after a simple wash, would anyone think
otherwise? :icon_scratch:

2016 (159).jpg

But, see the silver? That's because I was
positive it was just another clad and I was checking the
dates of all the clad to see what time frame was there.
I have no qualms about rubbing clad coins in the field.
The date information is important when hunting.
Who knew?

Here's the rest:

2016 (170).jpg
Just about all those pennies are between 1961 and 1975.
2016 (169).jpg
2 whole wheat toasts
2016 (168).jpg
2016 (167).jpg

This is what impressed me today. Look
at how TINY those pieces are!!

2016 (166).jpg2016 (165).jpg

It's says "FLAVOR" across the middle. :dontknow:

2016 (164).jpg

Interesting token.

2016 (163).jpg
2016 (162).jpg

Blingie's gonna break his neck someday. ;)

2016 (161).jpg

Ya know, I think Fishy has more on the ball
then I give him credit for, he's looking at the
silver quarter. ;)

All in all a very nice day and walk.

Thanks for peeking!

Wow. I definitely would have thrown that quarter in the clad pile and not thought twice about it unless I heard it clink. That Superman is sweet as well! Great hunt!

That one would fool anyone haha, nice finds WHADIFIND

congrats on the silver! In 2009 I found a Wartime Nickel in the pile of change designated for the bank. Since then I made it a rule to check every date before it goes into the change bin. It's caught several silvers from circulation.

nice hunt whadifind.

A silver day indeed! With a side of wheat! Nice! Congrats!

If Blingie does manage to haul that off he will indeed be "Super Blingie"! And Fishy's got his next bank roll of silver!

Those are teneey tiny parts! Sometimes hard to even find with the pin pointer!
That quarter I would have thought was clad from the color, strange to see it come out of the ground masquerading as a clad, never hurts to always check them!

A delightful educational walk! :)

Your on a roll now. Seems like you have the right set up. Good job

Whadi, I would be proud of that hunt. So many goodies, more diversity than a San Francisco State University social studies class...silver coin! Is your pretty "wave" ring silver also? Happy Hunting to you. Sub 8-)

Looks like Blingie and Fishy approve of the finds! Congratualtions! :occasion14:

Sorry can't resist.

My AT Pro found one of those too, ha lol
That was a great hunt Gary, good work, I always check my dates, every coin.

That token isn't that small. Brad's hands are just massive!:laughing7:

Very good hunt Gary. I agree with JC...that quarter would fool anyone. I was fooled with one once and tumbled it. Now I look at every date too lol.

Glad to see you're liking that machine bud. A friend of mine has one and has made some incredible finds here in Maine. He found a tiny little cut piece of a 1500s Lizzie silver last year. Very impressive indeed. Great all around machine....without the $2500 price tag. Excited to see what you find from some of your old sites

Blingie might get super, if he lives long enough. ;)

Not every day one finds a "double eagle" like I did today, either!

Yeah, those are REALLY teeny pieces! I believe they might be silver.
But, guess what. I almost couldn't find them with the pointer! LOL

Great day!
Thanks!

I haven't proved it yet, but yeah, I believe the ring is silver. Came out like that.
Thanks!

Don't ever resist! Not when it's such good info! I had no idea what it was, glad to have it ID'ed!
Worth a mint, right? ;)

I always try to get the dates while I'm walking to try and pin down a happening in an area to
a certain time frame. But, I NEVER rub silver as a rule! If I can't see the date, I'll just wait. :)

Thanks!

I have never seen a silver coin coming out of the ground black unless it was a nickel. Thanks for posting. Very interesting ground you have!

Big hands notwithstanding, you can see how small it is in my pic. :)

Thanks!

Yeah, I'm pretty familiar with Garretts in my overall "career" and this one is really a honey. The fact that it is so versatile AND that it doesn't cost 2500 are just a couple of the blessings. I intentionally chose this one over some of the "better" (sic more expensive) models available. It just fit my needs too perfectly. I knew that I wanted the versatility most of all and then the sensitivity. This one fit the bill perfectly! (MY bill that is, each has to determine for themselves).

If I wanted to upgrade to something "better" now, I could, as this one has paid for it, a couple times over. ;) I just don't see the need......yet. ;)

Thanks!
