Hi Folks,

There is this place in a city park. It is between a public
swimming pool and a tennis court, and it's surrounded
by asphalt parking.

I have hunted it a little, but never hunted it hard and
never covered much of it. That's because it is very
difficult to hunt. It has dark gravel, which is real positive.
It also has a lighter colored gravel which is real negative.
That is mixed in with tha native soil which is mild to
moderate.

Even with my Vaquero, I was not able to get but a few
inches of depth in most places.

I hunted it this morning and got about 1/3 of tha way
done. I was sore and defeated. It's really hard ta dig,
and all I found was trash and a little clad.

I ate and took a nap. I got up and headed back out
there. It defeated me again. I was really sore then.

Went back home and ate some more.

After school was out, I took my son over to his girl-
friends house to study. ( yaw right )

I decided I was gonna finish that spot. I just couldn't
leave it not done.

I didn't expect to find anything. I just wanted ta get it
done.

Then I found a silver lookin ear ring. At least that was
somethin.

On my next pass I found a 14k gold tennis racket
pendant. I could not believe my eyes. But there it
was.

Tha stone is not a diamond. ( darn )

But it weighs 2.3 grams, and that is a good payday.

But, it's so pretty, I'm not sure if I'll sell it...? I could
just put it on a small chain and keep it.

It sure turned a dreary day into a great day. Funny
how that works...lol

Here is all tha stuff I dug.

Sorry for tha long post, but I just got pumped. I can't
stop my self...lol

Like the Racket!

It is truly interesting how effort, patience and perseverance is eventually paid off.

This realization is what lets me keep on trying and trying and what makes the expectation the really FUN part.

I would be tickled to death to find a nice charm like that. Good Job! And hey, you did the park a favor and got rid of some unsightly trash and debris! You never know where the treasure will show up. That's what makes our hobby so exciting!

Yup... treasure can be anywhere! That place was calling to you for a reason... you stuck with it and it paid off. There's something to be said about intuition. Often times we decide not to follow our first instincts. In this hobby, first instincts seem to be crucial. Good for you for sticking it out and hanging in there without giving up!

Congrats on the charm! VERY nice!!!

Wow,

Nice find !! Are you sure the stone is not real ? ??? Looks real to me... :icon_scratch:

Keep @ it and HH!!

Tabdog way to go!!!!!!!!! The rainbow find cannot happen without suffering through the rain! In our case it's pulltabs bottle caps, junk! junk! junk! Then WOW!! LOOK AT THAT BEAUTIFUL GOLD TENNIS RACKET!!!
