Think twice before storing PMs in a bank vault!

Snake35, you listed another reason for why I don't trust banks. Sneaky lawyers and ex's. Their both just like the banks and the government.

People hate lawyers till they need one to get their a$$ out of trouble.

If you don't like being forced to part with half (or more) of your stuff, don't get married. Marriage is basically a contract between you and your spouse. Like a business deal. Better to not enter into such deals unless you know what you face.

That is absolutely dispicable. Shredding documents, selling off family heirlooms, and going in with notifications. The person who authorized that should go to jail. Nothing is safe anymore. Bunch of common crooks and our government will do absolutely nothing to stop it.

Well, a lot of people wanted change. I hope this is the change that you wanted, because we are stuck with it now.

Actually, this practice has been going on for a number of years. (It started under the Bush administration, not O's)

Best advice is, if you must have a SD box, make a point of visiting it 2x / year. That creates a log of your visits and prevents the bank from labeling it as "abandoned".

I have seen friends fume at their banks for closing their kids saving accounts as being abandon because there was no activity for over a year.

DO NOT store anything in a bank. Bailout means they will bailout your savings accounts and your safety deposit vaults.

BAILOUT is BAILOUT. This IS old school talking. We are going directly to a major depression and banking bailouts. Do not trust banks with storing your money or valuables. If it's valuable to you then YOU store it.

People who trust banks are people with no code of ethics, just like the banks they deal with.

It is time to take control of what we earned and gaurd it as if we really did earn it. Stop giving it away to the banks and the government.

Riveting and scary video! Don't think much can be done with a lawyer since banks have no way of verifying what you kept in your SDB, and you have no way of proving what was in there either. Best bet, bring a vid camera with you on each visit to document your valuables.

I thought it said they knew what was sold at the auctions and how much it brought in. Which was supposedly much less than the real value according to the lady in the video (ie the pearls). But the idea of bringing a video camera to tape your box contents is definitely a good one.

Well my p.v.c. caches are in place. I have over a thousand face value stashed. I modified my plans and put in 250.00 face value in pre-64 silver dimes. There goes my paranoia again

I hope my grandchildren don't read a story in MODERN CASCHE HUNTERS in the year 2055 called
"The Snakes Hidden Treasure - over $1000 face value in silver never found. Todays value $95,000,000"
