Ugh! I will learn how to post pictures......someday......sorry
Can you get a super close up of the bottom..looks to be pontiled ,but can't see for sure...

Ps. after i wrote the above post I noticed what looks to be a pot stone in the glass... If so this is probly a vase from the late1800's to very early 1900's an more then likely made from leftover marble glass... Marcia you probly remember the marble I showed you a few months ago... I believe the vase is made from the exact same type of glass.... I will see If I can get the marble guys to look over here in this forum or you can post those pics in the marble forum an ask if this was made from end of day marble glass.....

couple more. One with flash and without. Both are in macro and I don't think I can get any closer. The bottom has ridges, but feel fairly smooth to the touch. Thanks for your interest! I bought this for .25 at a garage sale. I thought it was pretty, but never thought it could be old. Marcia

Well I am finally done with everything so its time to catch back up on Tnet. The garage sales starting popping up around here a couple of weeks ago, I have not had a chance to go to any yet, so this weekend its ON! One of the biggest garage sales of the year is this weekend so hopefully I can find some goodies.

I have way too many things to list so I am just going to link my completed listings.

and Olivia11dancer's, she has been rocking ebay.

I also just got the rough draft for her book. Its a TON of information. I am going to start putting little mini articles up on my blog.

I just wish there was a way to link my blog feed to treasurenet, then I could kill 2 birds with one stone when I post about items.

These percolators have since become very collectable.

I can get a green medallion perculator, any idea on what it might be worth?

I have never seen a green medallion pattern in person. I did a quick search, nothing in depth and came up with $37.00 on a random site. It seemed low to me considering I have sold the standard blue flowers for 50.00-60.00. I just sold the cord alone for $15.00 and the internals of another for $15.00.

Things to keep your eyes out for.

Stainless steel flatware made in the USA

http://cgi.ebay.com/47PC-VTG-UTICA-...ultDomain_0&hash=item1e61eeedf0#ht_1402wt_907

Paid: $2.99 Sold: 99.99 - free shipping

Why it sold: Stainless steel flatware that is made in the USA is very desirable. If you can find large lots, they sell very nicely. I highly recommend you check out the flatware bins when you are at the thrift stores. Pick up different forks, and feel the weights and the quality, then you will begin to understand why these are so desirable.   Flatware made in Korea or Japan usually vintage, and are good quality utensils. Stay away from items made in China and Taiwan.

Swag Lamps

http://cgi.ebay.com/IRIDESCENT-OPAL...ultDomain_0&hash=item1e62235d04#ht_1402wt_907

Paid: $5.99 Sold: 49.99

If you come across swag lamps I recommend picking them up if the price is right. I knew this one would sell because it looked like iridescent carnival glass. The big thing you need to know about swag lamps is whether or not the coloring is sprayed on, or if its the actual glass. Sprayed on coloring will flake off and is not worth as much. Ambers are the bottom of the bin while the greens, blues, and reds are the sure sales.

I have a chance to pick up this shade but I would have to make a bit of a drive. Think it would bring a good price on ebay? thanks

I found this peacock perched at the goodwill for $9.99 this weekend. I bet I can sell it for over $100.00.

It measures over 3 ft across x 3.5 ft high.

Peacocks along with certain other animals are highly desirable. This is a double whammy because it can also be sold as hollywood regency.

I just bumped this thread so it would be easy for the new forum member to find.

This topic has helped me a lot this year. One thing was I found a used bottle of Chanel No 5. Just a partial bottle and could not determine how much was in there. Bought for a buck, sold for 12.95.

I can add two areas that consistently get me money (although not big scores). Risk games - bought 4 of them so far this year, all between 2 and 3 dollars. Sold them all from 11.99 - 24.99. Another is food dehydrators. Bought first one for 5.00, and sold for 20.25. Have two more I just bought for 4.00 each - gonna see what happens with them but I will do alright! :icon_thumleft:

Famous. How do you do it?? Your auctions are great!! I would love to have as many sales as you!!!

Well, I'm taking Turtles advice on stainless flatware. I hit a local consignment shop today that I've had some luck at in the past, and picked up two lots of SS flatware. One's Nasco, made in Korea and the other is Imperial, made in USA. They look vintage to me, but all I know about flatware is how to eat with them. I'm going to research them a bit and throw them up on ebay tonight. I paid $5.50 for the Korea set and $6.50 for the USA. I guess we'll see how it goes. Pics are below. Any ideas for titles and descriptions on these? Thanks!

Korean set first:

I found the IMperial set on replacements .com. It's Imperial IMI41, discontinued in 1963, which is a good sign, I hope. The Nasco set was listed there too, but without dates. Let's see what they bring. Again, any help on descriptions and titles would be greatly appreciated!

Yeah most flatware made on Korea is vintage.

The stainless steel flatware made in the USA should be a good sale. Make sure you put stainless USA in the title.

You don't really need to do much keyword smithing when it comes to flatware, but you can use keywords to describe the patterns like vtg flatware daisy flower floral stainless steel USA.
