They want half of the treasure because they are the reason for knowing the place.

Yes, it is the same deal for "their" so-called area as it is for the area "far" from "their" place, that we discovered. We didn't touch their place.

The depth of the treasure in 'their' area is more than 12 meters, they said we can't dig it.

The treasure, in our own new spot, is below 6 meters.

When we negotiated with them about the new place we discovered, and suggested a good amount without going into details, they refused and asked for half, even though they are physically unable to dig, because they are not professional diggers, and all the costs of the project are on us.
I understand. The 3 people absolutely do not want to be in on the trouble if you are caught.
So whatever this karma thing is that you are talking about, and you said if you are caught excavating there you are going to prison. :icon_scratch:

So they claim 12 meters.
* no we found the depth using L-rods, the 12 meters is in their spot
You say 6 Meters.
* it's in our new spot

Their spot and our spot are the same area.

How do you know how deep?
* using L-rods
If they have no equipment, how would they know how deep?
* I told you they are not experts, They don't know anything.

They want to be a part of our new spot
"Is it on public lands?
Is it within the law to recover?
What are the risks?"
*" My Answer : The archaeological land is owned by the state, and the law prohibits excavation without a license. Obtaining a license is impossible, and if you are caught excavating, you will go to prison."

So you are saying it is illegal to dig and you want advice about how to persue digging illegally?

Illegal is illegal, so decide if it is worth it to you to spend years in a horrible prison in your country.

There ya go, make-believe treasure hunters using make-believe devices. @dreamon, it doesn't matter what you do, you will not be recovering any treasure.

My opinion? There is bad karma no matter which way you go.

No digging is allowed, and you can't get a permit, but you're going to dig a hole 18'-20' deep...you can not hide a hole that big.

You will get caught, and put in a nasty prison cell with very bad/violent
people for room mates.

Also, these people that want 50%..I'm guessing they are part of some criminal
group, and they won't be willing to negotiate. Don't pay them their 50% and they might take more than just money from you.

As my late father would say: "Son, you got yourself stuck between a rock and a hard spot".

The smart thing to do would be to tell the other people (that want 50%) that you've decided not to pursue this any further. Then turn around and walk away
from the whole deal, find a way to make money legally, and don't look back.

Yes it is, but for some reason, it happens quite a bit around here.

Yes, we do seem to attract that kind of thing....

We went out with 3 people who have archaeological symbols that are not on their land but in a mountainous area. It turned out that their treasure is very deep.

The metal detector revealed a place far from their place before we started working on it. We talked to them and they told us that they cannot help us with anything, no transportation, no workers, no protection, no housing, and you know that working in the mountains is very difficult.

At the same time, they want half of the treasure because they are the reason for knowing the place.

What is the solution with them? Do they have the right to half of the treasure? Is there karma for working without them?
Did you make a deal before setting out on what the split is?
If you didn't you should have. And if you didn't you foolishly left yourself open.
The predicament you say you find yourself in is your own fault if you didn't make a pre deal. If you did make a deal that was more for you and less for them and now they are shifting the goal posts then they are in the wrong.

Half of a treasure is better than No treasure. Just saying.
